From Nasi200
The NASi200 project was started by Jac Goudsmit. He owns the nasi200.org domain (and a few similarly named domains that refer to the nasi200.org domain), and also the NASi200 project on Sourceforge. He also released the first alternative firmware for the NAS200, called the Jac0 firmware. This software will remain in existence until further notice, probably until the NASi200 firmware gains the same functionality. For those who are already running the Jac0 firmware, NASi200 will probably provide backward compatibility. However, NASi200 will not be based on the Jac0 project; it is a complete restart from scratch, based on the Linksys tarballs.
This website uses the MediaWiki engine, produced by the people that run WikiPedia. The MediaWiki engine is more familiar to users than other Wiki engines, and offers more features than some. The site is more or less under construction and if you have any suggestions about changes to make and/or plugins to install, please let us know.
If you are interested in supporting the project in any way, let us know. For now, we will primarily use the Network Storage Devices forum on the LinksysInfo website to communicate. We also keep an eye on the Linksys Community Forums but we may not show our presence as much there as on the Linksysinfo forums, mainly because the forum software that Linksys runs, is (arguably) less user-friendly.
The project and the project leaders and contributors have no affiliation with Linksys or Cisco. All Linksys/Cisco copyrights and trademarks are acknowledged and respected. Linksys/Cisco does not support any alternative firmware like NASi200 in any way, although they apparently encourage communities like this. From the NSLU2-Linux webpage:
